Hi folks

Just wanted to say first that i love the Oka forum, great seeing the passion that people have seeing this great country we live in !!

Does anybody know where you can still buy 11R16 tyres with decent tread patterns from ?
or
is there an equivalent tyre size that will fit ?

Cheers

"decent tread patterns"

That alone is bound to get some wildly divergent views expressed.

Hi Mick, and welcome along... a Volvo C303 camper? We need pics.

Okadoc in Newman posted this a couple of weeks ago: >>We have 36 brand new 1100R16 XZLs (38.5" dia) and 40 x 325/85R16 XML (38" dia) 90% tread, all pressure tested and in top nick, coming in this container along with autos, transfer cases and diffs.<<

That container will be coming to Fremantle and then on to Newman... not sure if that does you any good in Sydney.

Hi Folks

Thanks for the information Hal about the tyres from Newman in WA, it's good to know they are still available. I've also been told that a 35/12.5/R16 will fit as well. It just won't be as tall.

The camper project Joe is just in it's infant stage at the moment, i actually haven't done any work on it yet. It really has a lot of rust. I'll try and post some pictures for you :

Hi Joe

Not sure where it came from originally, as i purchased it off e-bay about March 2010.

I do like the idea of the cab chassis, i think it will give me more options for the camper body (when i'm ready) !!

The good thing is there is a guy in Malaysia who has one as well, so he should be a wealth of info. I was lucky as it came with a Service Manual & Parts Manual (in english).

Cheers
