I did get blue slip, but it was a few mths old so was no good. As vehicle was in storage, I was told the blue slip would be dated when it came out. It was checked completely, having new rear brakes etc.

Would the capsule be suitable for connverting to a enclosed trailer, if so how much do you want for it. As for the temporary permit to drive the vehicle I sold a Nissan Civilian about 7 years ago & I had to get what they called a black slip, ( not the pink or blue) once passed the vehicle had to take the most direct route to its destination, had to make sure no number plates were still attached & signs saying TRAFFIC each end, also the permit notice has to be displayed on the front windscreen. This was for NSW & cost was about $40 a day, things may have changed since then but thats what I had to do

Great Idea about a trailer. Never thought about that.

Would need a chassis. Perhaps buying the chassing mounts off OKA would make things easier. Measure up OKA and build chassis similar.....

Only real mod would be filling in the front when it comes away from the cab.

If someone was considering making the rear into a trailer.

Here is some info on hubs to suit OKA Rims.

From Hal in previous post.

"Martins Trailer Parts in WA can supply the hubs - they are a fairly major supplier & manufacturer. We recently built a camper trailer using my own suspension specifications and components, including of course hubs that take the same wheels as the Oka - 8 on 6.5 stud pattern, no problem. Trailer Parts supplied the hubs as a finished product and the independant suspension arms, and modified the arms to suit my shocks, hydraulic bump stops and airbags."

Martin's Trailer Parts

Also here is a supplier in the US.

Drum
Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - 1/2" Studs

Disc
Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Silver Cad and Stainless - 7,000 lbs

You may need to change studs.

G'day Lobo sorry I lost your number but I'll post here the info that you wanted, I had a look at your capsule but it was not high enough for the 1830mm clearance I needed. I took measurements for it in case someone else may be interested it was 3700mm long X 1800mm high X 1900 wide, the inside width was 1800mm. The unit was well made & a lot of work would have been required for its construction, there was a small ammount of rust but easy to fix with a bit of buffing some acid treatment & sealed. Unfortunately the paint job doesn't do it any justice but wouldn't be a big job to bring it up to scratch. The rubber seals need a bit of attention & a good general clean up wouldn't hurt, I would have been keen if the size was right.

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the comments. Hopefully someone can find a use for it.

I havent seen it myself, but can see it needs a big clean up.

Seems it maybe big enough for someone to do something with it.

Its coming off in a few weeks.
