As the recent committed intending purchaser of OKA 356 in Queensland my advice to others finding themselves in this position is to exercise caution & to be meticulous in their pre-purchase investigations.

Takes me back to when I was looking for an OKA, I was advised to run all possibilities past Robin Wade in Coolgardie and he warned me off several possibilities for various reasons

That generic advice is always a given, but obviously this particular case might have some peculiar elements that could be conveyed here in general enough terms that aren't specifically referenced to that particular vehicle.

Nugget, you were the first person to contact me via PM, & the first person I replied to. The message shows as sitting in your inbox unopened, along with another I sent you in the past. ;) It appears that we get no notification of messages received, you have to go to your profile & manually check for messages.

Hi Cuppa

I am getting no access to messages at all...not sure what is going on. It used to show that you had received but now nothing. If I click on the messages icon it says it is loading and then I get an empty box. that would also explain why I haven't replied to your earlier pm as I was unaware. maybe you could send me an email

if the PM thing can not be sorted. Happy to answer any questions you may have had.

Cheers

Not knowing what the issues were to be "Beware", I would have thought, that OKA owners were a honest lot. Maybe not so.

Hi Hank,
Yes one would hope so but if you see the behind scene story he was lucky to get out with just a sour taste and a story to tell.
In this case it was very much buyer beware.

Paul. Your cynicism is understandable. The vehicle has recently been re-advertised with no change to its description. My advice remains the same to any potential purchaser, with whom I am prepared to share my experience if they send me their email address.

Cuppa gave the OKA community a timely, measured, and very responsible response to what could have been a very expensive and heartbreaking experience.
Thanks Cuppa
