I've finally got around to fitting a boost gauge to the Oka, what sort of boost pressures should they run in standard trim?
374 tops out at 9 psi, typically 2-3 running along at 90kph in 5th on a flat road.
Seems a bit on the low side to me I thought they would max out in the low teens.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Might explain why it is so slow on the road ;-))

When Tim had the glycol intercooler and wastegated turbo fitted to #072 he had it Dyno'ed giving the following results:

These seem to suggest the standard should peak at around 11.6 According to the write up "Leon set the boost pressure close to standard for reliability reasons. He did make comment that there is plenty of extra power to be unleashed with an increase in boost pressure."

Peter 9 psi sounds right, I have a Garrett 739548-5001, MHM 12015 with boost at a bit over 14 psi. I got it trough Alltrac 4WD SA, I am not sure if they had to do any mods.

I'll have to go through the paperwork to find out which one Tim had fitted. I'll get back to you on it.

The receipt for the work done refers to the turbo as a GT28. As I wrote in another thread "as to which of the GT28's it is I'm not sure as there seem to be about 18 of them. "
