Trying to sort out my dual battery wiring. Was never really happy with it is sense putting the Cummins in.

The service manual shows the main alternator feed goes to the ACC battery. I thought it went to the solenoid behind driver. Passing through that when engine is running. Acc Battery charge feed is same place.
Then if the battery is flat you can turn switch to make them run in parallel

Every Oka I've looked at has had the batteries wired differently, there doesn't seem to be a "standard" setup at all apart from the factory wiring diagrams which might be where they all started.
Mine has a Redarc VSR between the main and auxilary batteries and is wired as per the standard VSR setup where the auxilary is in parallel with the main battery until the voltage drops when the engine is stopped, then the auxilary is disconnected from the main, the battery switch behind the drivers seat disconnects ALL power from the vehicle.

Cheers Peter, mine was pretty much standard I think.. But when putting the new engine in, I couldnt work it out at the time, so just ran them in parallel.

I do have a few Redarcs SBi12 lying around. I guess just need to put a momentary switch in if I need both batteries,

Will still play with it and see what I can come up with.

Ours just has one of those T shaped, removeable handled on/off battery switches not a marine type with different battery connection modes. Some of the redarcs have a wire to make them operate manually rather than automatically and can be left in auto mode as well as manually switching them on.

Is there some schematic diagram that shows the wiring?
Are they all the same?

What is the standard upgrade wiring diamgram and parts?

There was a couple different designs from OKA. I think that there was some errors in their schematics for memory

Letting sleeping dogs lie perhaps but I've never bothered to check my set up, other than to suspect the winch is connected where easiest rather than where it should be.

Need new engine batteries (having just ordered replacements for the 11n year old big AGMs in the house) I know Peter Wright has fullriver AGM engine batteries also so would be interested to hear of any problems he has found.
