Hi Holmz,
Drilling 1 x 5mm hole say 400mm apart for say 1 cable I wouldnt see much of a problem but you have said for air lines to and from compressor then hold down points for compressor and tank plus power for compressor then cable front and rear for anderson plugs so how many holes in total. Every hole takes a bit of integrity away from the chassis.
Your cross rails are not as critical and your sub frame is the least, its your vehicle you make the call.

Maybe I'll do 2 and use a block that holds an air line and power.
The negative should be find just being clamped to the chassis and using it for the ground.
Then if I need more things I can just us a different block with more holes in the block, and still just an upper and lower block to chassis screw.
I can always later drill out the M5 holes and use a rivetnut, should the screws corrode to the chassis?
