Resting on Diff or Discs

I'm wanting to remove all four wheels and rest the Oka on its diff or disks.
According to my measurements the diff housings will hit the ground first (by about 5mm, but I could be wrong).
My mind tells me that it is probably preferable to keep the forces where they should be. So I'm thinking a piece of wood under the brake discs.
Is there any likelihood of damage to the discs, etc in doing this?

thanks
Frank

The reason why is so my engine crane will have the required height to lift the roof top camper onto the Oka.

Alternatively, has anyone got a hiab (Perth,WA) I can park next to for 5 minutes while they lift the camper from the trailer to the Oka.

Although the rotors are pretty robust items they at no time carry weight the hubs do ,if I was you I would put blocks under the diff axel housing to the same height allowing compression of the timber so you are not resting on the rotors ,that's my view I have never done what you are going to do. cheers peter
