Hi all, just though some of you maybe interested in this especially those of you over here in the west.
I have built a temporary mould to make a fibreglass shell for my OKA. I am at work in the pilbara at the moment but I got word today that my shell was removed from the mould to day and the mould is still intact.
So at this stage the mould can stay at the fibreglass factory until the space it takes up is required then it will be stripped down and removed. So I am happy to leave it there for now and the owner of the factory will make more if any one is interested.
This is not a cheap option and I have not got a firm price yet but expect it to $10,000 or a bit over.
It is only a shell consisting of the back, roof and two sides in one peace. It still needs a floor and frame to sit on and will bolt up to the cab the same as a bus body, the front is open. I have chosen to have the wall approximately 28 mm thick.
It comes as a clean canvas so you can cut the door and windows were ever you want them. I will be cutting the roof for a pop top.
It is 2140 mm wide by 3930 long so it is almost max length for an OKA and it shapes back into the cab shape 200 mm from the cab, it has the same shape as the cab but the horizontal line is 150 mm hire than the line on the cab. It sits approxametly 150 mm hire than the cab roof.

Cheers for now

Oz have a look at the start of the Oka 365 camper body thread and hopefully that will give you the answers to your questions.

Cheers
