G'day I read the other day a comment by Brett Out Yonder regarding springs for trailers being not up to the job. If you are reading this Brett I'd appreciate your input, do you think the springs off my OKA would be suitable then replace them with new ones. I'm making a trailer with a 3.6 metre long tray to carry a Polaris RZR approx 650kg, would a single axle be alright or should I go 2 axles, I'd be using the 19.5 wheels. I had new original size bushes, pins hangers etc fitted but would like to upgrade to 20mm, I remember a while back people saying they had trouble with (I think sorry if wrong) westralia springs, can anyone recommend a brand or is original the best bet. Had a dual axle car trailer but was no good in the bush, to low & hard to turn around also, was hoping to get away with single axle so I could disconnect & pull it around by hand. Thanks

Darren post & pictures at end of western OKA gathering post www.oka4wd.com/oka-gatherings-travels/98...-sept?start=120#6800

Big long leaves are the secret.
Oka springs are a bit heavy, remove a few leaves.

Electric brakes are the go.
I tried mechanical disc & they rattled to bits.

Have built 3 trailers the same, can take them to hell & back.
One has been there several times & still going strong!!

OKAs 091, 093, 094, 113, 346x6 & 405
