Been thinking about this for a while,Hal Harvey's view for this site was to be a complete travelling OZ site,On this site we have some really good cooks and resourceful people, can I ask for people to put some recipes forward, don't be shy and be proud of your recipes it may not be to all tastes but like with all things on earth it will be an audience,we all do camping recipes differently but we can all benefit from different cultures lets just give it a go,I;m not computer saby but maybe someone with more skills than me can start a tread.
Cheers,Joe

So Joe, to stop Ewart hounding me, here is a recipe we like:
Braised Lamb shanks
Shanks (1 per person or more if small shanks)
1 onion, chopped
1 or 2 carrots chopped
1 or 2 stalks celery, chopped
Large tin of crushed tomatoes
Beef stock powder (to taste)
Plain flour
Slat and pepper
Oil

Roll shanks in seasoned flour, and fry in oil till browned all over, place shanks in camp oven. Add all vegetables (not tomatoes) together and fry till starting to soften, do not brown. Add to camp oven with shanks, add tin of tomatoes and the beef stock, I use a tablespoon of stock powder to 4-6 shanks, adjust to your own taste. Cover and cook gently till meat is tender and almost falling off the bone. Serve with mashed potatoes and greens and enjoy.

I'm no cook Joe, much better at the eating part although I think I might have contributed to the tray of oysters. :)
