What's the significance of the red and white flag? Why not an Australian flag?

It had never occurred to me that the logo could be a flag. Maybe it's a sandhill at sunset?

That would sound right.
The blue/white logo is for diver below so
the red/white logo would be driver above

Thought it might have been a marine signal flag, but does not make sense,.......
Very difficult to use an Australian flag. All bound up in legalities.
