Oka original:
My copy, not as smooth but functions just as well. The centre has a bracket attached above the windscreen with Tek screws. I subsequently strengthened the leading edge with a length of rope track to reduce the whipping at high(?) speeds.
Adorned with various antennae (CB, GPS, mobile phone), also stabilises my solar panel frame.

Shane, when you come overhere this weekend you can measure mine and copy that in aluminium, or steel if you like. I guess quite easy to do.

Either way, too much whipping can/did crack the centre bracket. Other than that it's surprisingly strong, could support my weight although I haven't tested that theory.

My "sails" are both 200mm deep, and are angled about 15-20º apart. The front one is also 15º from horizontal and the front edge is about 450mm from the top of the windscreen.
It will be interesting to see how wrong I was.

A running track??
Anyway the boat looks good and you should have no problem with a trivial thing like a sun visor. I didn't have ali welding skills when I built mine (still don't).
This was my biggest ali construction job, the raised roof for our Oka.

In the back of his shed he had an old Sun Visor. Fairly rusty but nothing a sand blast and paint wouldn't fix. Luckily we have a blasting unit at work so we did a deal and on the way back home i called in and collected it for the OKA.
He is a great bloke.
If anyone wants me to do a drawing up ill be happy too, but I know from speaking with Alan at OKA Parts he is in the process of having a drawing done and pricing up having aluminium ones made.
