Just thought I'd put up a picture of Paul Notts' heavy duty knuckles that I picked up yesterday. Paul confirmed that they are 'solid axle' ones.
I think these are probably bullet-proof, note the six bolts and keyed steering arm compared to the 4 studs on the original ones. Also the attachment points of the tie rods are lower than standard which in my view is not an improvement but overall i'm impressed.
I'll put up a comparison shot when i get it pulled down.

Good bit of gear,when I was in Melbourne Paul showed me a lot of DANA 80 for Coaster conversion with the same knuckles and coil springs,very impressive workmanship!!
