I am at the start of putting the OKA back together after the long spray job and it looks great and different, dash back together. I have had a problem trying to make out the wiring as it was attacked by former owner, 90% done and I am confused as to what some switches do :
1/ Double acting switch, what is it for and do ?
2/ The single switches with a green light on them as I can not see what they do?
3/ The red and green light panel and the yellow one hope some one can tell me thanks

"Double acting" switch may be the fuel tank changeover switch (although mine has fairly obvious markings on the switch rocker itself.)
Ones with green lights are likely for the AC. OFF-FAN-AIRCON and the other is fan speed.

Peter, on mine the yellow lamp switch was for the electric compressor but it could also be for a work light. Switch types will vary with configuration.
Post a photo of the dash and we can indentify them.

Have posted my pics on my members page in random recent photos. Please check it and advise.
These are the switches that don't make sense, two green on the left, the green/red and yellow lights under radio and the three switches blank two top on left, one bottom on left?

Peter, I reckon they all did nothing - or more likely were added by a previous owner for accessories. This is mine, also an LT:
Where you have the two green on the left, mine were all originally blank panels. Maybe yours were added to power something aftermarket.
Your green, red and yellow lights under the radio were also all blank on mine originally (and I do mean original - I believe the dash was factory-standard when I took ownership).
Your remaining three switches on the right were also all blank on mine, I think. I subsequently relocated one into the top row (the fuel changeover I think) so that I could have three spotlight switches (relay switches of course) all in a row - but I see you already have one - so maybe I did have one originally.
My additional three-position switch in the top row was for lights in the (factory standard) pop top, so you wouldn't have that.

Peter, As per the Operators manual your switches/lights are;
2 on left are both spare,
3 under radio from left to right are Strobe light warning light (optional), Work light warning light (optional), Auxiliary fuel warning light,
Panel of 6 are; Top left-Work light (optional), Top centre-Module interior light (optional), Top right-Hazard warning, Bottom left-Strobe light (optional), Bottom centre-Fuel tanks changeover (optional), Bottom right-Driving lights.
Work light and strobe light are for the optional minesite lightbar.
The module interior light switch has 3 positions (Off/Door/On)
Hope this helps.

What sort of room is under/behind the dash?
I have an stereo amplifier, but it is pretty large as it is pretty old... But wondering if there would be room for it?
One may need a bit of sound to overcome the rattly diesel sounds I suspect, so the old amp should work..

For an XT, behind the instruments or switch/radio panel, very little space.
Behind the panel to the left of the switch panel, some, often used for a CB radio.
There is space behind the drivers and passenger’s seats, or you could build an overhead console.
If you don’t need the 2 trays on the top left and centre of the dashboard you could build something in there.
Either way you’d need to locate some speakers, the Oka speakers are woeful.

This what our basic XT dashboard looked like in 2004 when we bought our Oka.
It's been extensively modified since then...
This more what it looks like now. I added a second instrument pod in the centre (same as the drivers side) for lots of electronics, the LH tray now houses a laptop diving a 17inch LCD navigation display. Being modified again as I speak to tidy things up.
Also built an overhead console for speakers, CB etc.
Another earlier cabin view.
