Bosch EPVE injector pump

I need to remove Bosch EPVE injector pump so I can replace broken inner stud. I would appreciate feedback from anyone that has done that procedure,advice as what special tools are needed ,things to watch out for,and sequence of the job involved.

Jim, I've done this a few times and there a few gottcha's, plus it takes a fair bit of time, care and patience.

I suggest you read my notes in this document and I or others can fill in any blanks later.

If you need to do anything internal, I would suggest taking it to a specialist as they are complex devices and any mistakes can wreck the pump. Although I successfully fixed mine a couple of times, eventually I had to have the whole thing overhauled as other wear problems showed up. Cost a small fortune but certainly improved the performance. Plus it's a critical single point of failure.
