OKA LT - 150.000kms -
Recently my engine started to perform sluggish - not willing to rev - no proper reaction to accelpedal- very low diesel consumption.
After all possible checks and after considering to give up traveling (ha,ha) and just before taking the injector-pump out, I removed the little steel-elbow functioning as the breather for the boost-control.
In the banjo-bolt sits some fiber-insert - which was blocked - so no proper action of the boost-diaphragm possible.
After replacing that fiber with some fine mesh the engine was as lively as the old Perkins donkey can be. Hurray.

Re Engine-revs: The VDO rev-counter is tunable with the help of a small screwdriver. After fitting of a german Bosch Alternator I had to adjust the rev-counter. My way: run the engine briefly on full throttle simultaneously calibrate the instrument to 3200 rpm.

Hi Wilfried and welcome along. That problem/solution is one I don't think I've heard before. I have linked an earlier topic to it.
