From Paul Scherek:

Hi All,
Has anyone determined the actual cause of the single cab bobbing up and down (or back and forth), or better still, has anyone found a fix for this?
The cab is rubber mounted, but it seems to move more than the rubbers would allow for so it seems possible that the chassis itself may be flexing, but this also seems unlikely. The cab is mounted only on the front section of the chassis, and it is difficult to see how flexing forces would be transferred to that section of the chassis.
It also is possible that the smoother ride on the bus bodied Oka's may be just due to the extra weight on the suspension compared with the single cab, rather than an actual wobble in the cab.
Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers,
Paul (Oka 059)

From David Ribbans:

Paul, we tightened the big bolts through rubber mounts between the body and chassis which seemed to make quite a difference (2 on the front and 2 at the sides of the cab). They might be very tight/rusted and difficult to access so WD40 is your friend.
The dual cab and bus bodies provide additional stabilisation so I would expect a single cab to be worse. Or you could have a broken chassis/mount.

Thanks David,
I will try tightening them, maybe even over-tightening just to prove whether it is the mounts or the chassis flexing.
I plan to build a motorhome on the back, but very lightweight and probably not strong enough to support the cabin.
Cheers,
Paul
