Has anyone had extra dash pods made up or know of a source for them? The XT is obviously limited with having the shorter 1/3 dash length pod.

Thanks Joe - I've been looking for an excuse to come and see your OKA and now I have an excuse I've moved up to Karratha for 12 months I'll contact Allan and see where I go from here.

James. I made up a central dash pod with the same dimensions as the RH pod from a sheet of aluminium, hinged at the back with a front panel for controls/displays.
There's tons of space inside and the original plastic tray can be retained.

Looks great David - pretty much what I want to do. What thickness aluminium sheet did you use?

James, it was 2mm sheet (you can buy 1200x2400 sheets from Ullrich Aluminium outlets).
It only requires a couple of gentle bends on each side and one at the back for the hinges, plus a few brackets to hold the front panel. I did consider replacing both pods with a longer LT type panel but this was much simpler and more useable.
I originally housed a laptop in it (which drives the 17in monitor) but I've since modified the LH pod for the laptop, which is more convenient.

James, which ever way you go, if you house a lot of electronics or heat sensitive stuff inside, fit some ventilation grilles on the top and some holes at the back to provide air flow.
It can get pretty hot inside from the sun, rising header tank heat plus any self generated heat trapped inside.
For my laptop pod, I also drilled a few holes into the back of the a/c ducting to bleed a bit of cool air into the pod.
