Announcing the first ever OKA Owners get-together in Europe.
Beautiful summer day amongst the hustle and bustle of at least 1500 vehicles and their occupants at Bad Kissingen, Bavaria Germany.
Three sets of owners isn't a huge number, but we were pretty pleased to break the previous record by a large margin.
We are in the camping area at the Abenteuer & Allrad off-road show and if you sit around long enough you will certainly spot any make and model of vehicle ever to set wheels off the tarmac.
For instance if you have unresolved fantasies about being the proud owner of what is arguably the most wanker-worthy vehicle known to man, you might be able to buy one of these
Reported to slurp 60 litres per hundred kilometres downhill with a tail wind.
Or maybe this one. Less military and far more drool-worthy
And if you wait around a bit longer, you might spot something like this vehicle. Left-hand drive, German Numberplate
Hmmmm. Just one of 1500 similar vehicles so nothing unusual about that is there.
Strange VIN though.
Hmmmm!!
None other than Herr Klaus Graeter, long-time member of this forum. You wouldn't believe the situation at this camp. Every square millimetre of space over a huge area is packed with vehicles and we had been vigorously defending our little patch against all invaders for the last two days waiting for a worthy addition to our small band and sharp-eyed Peter spotted a familiar shape way in the distance winding its way around and around looking for a resting spot so several of us raced off up the hill to run it down and offer our extra parking space. Thought we had lost it but eventually managed to flag it down and invite Klaus to join us.
SO, our efforts in recording the record gathering of OKA owners stood for only an hour or so and this is the new record attendance

Klaus's LT221 is a neat rig, both inside and out.
He purchased it in 2003.
Here are some more pics.........
