Frank created the topic: 2WD Oka curiosity
I purchased some old Oka bits which according to the previous owner were originally from some of the 2WD Okas Argyle mine had. For interest sake I thought I would post here as it filled in a bit of my knowledge and removed some assumptions I had.
I had assumed the 2WD Okas would have had the tailshaft from the back of the gearbox. It appears that Oka made a transition piece the length of the NP205 transfer case. So same tailshaft, same coupler, same handbrake. All hanging off the back of the XT rear gearbox mount like the NP205 does.
Front axle is apparently still a Dana 60, same knuckles, brakes etc, just an empty pumpkin I assume, the inboard end of the spindle is sealed off and the outboard end of the hub had a chrome cover silicon-ed in place.

Oka also sold some cabs with rolling chassis, no drivetrain with beam front axles, they then had a wider bus body made and fitted with 2 + 2 either side of an aisle.
They were fitted with V8 Chev diesels and auto's.
