LT & XT owner, service, and workshop manual

Hello fellow OKA owners,

I do have a comprehensive PDF owner, service, and workshop manual for my LT. Now, I am looking for a similar set of manuals for a friend, who does own an OKA XT in Africa.
I did not find a XT manual on this forum. Could anybody send me a link to such a manual or send it to me via WeTransfer?

OIA I don't know of anywhere that you can download the manuals but many of us have electronic copies on our computers.

If anyone can supply me with PDF version of the XT workshop manual(s) ... that would be great. Thanks

I’m also looking for the workshop manual for an LT. I have some files I was supplied with when I bought the OKA, but it seems to be missing a lot of info. Possibly it’s just a basic owners service manual.

Any chance someone could send me the complete manual please?

You are right in that the supplied LT and XT manuals don't cover everything, they only cover actual Oka stuff.
To explain a bit better take the steering column, it's from a Leyland/DAF truck so the fitting and removal of it from the Oka is covered but the actual column disassembly isn't as it is a supplied part.
Diffs aren't in the manual as the axles are supplied complete so you need the Dana manuals although as the brakes are Oka specific they are covered in the manual.That being said there have been posts over the years that have put up manual sections that don't appear in any manuals that I've seen.

Cheers for the info, I was hoping for something a little more comprehensive for the wiring. The one I have makes reference to sections that aren’t there. For example it will say as shown in figure 3, but I have no figure 3 to refer to. It seems to be missing multiple pages.

Yes the wiring is a bit of a mystery, thank your lucky stars that you don't have an ex defence truck like 374 that has a blackout light system overlaying the standard wiring.
Nevermind the 48v hydraulic genset and associated wiring as 374 was a comms truck with the RAAF.
One big thing to note is that the light wiring on an LT and is probably the same on an XT ALL runs through the headlight switch on the column, there are NO relays to high and low beams so fitting additional or higher load lights really overloads the wiring and switch.
Spare a thought for NT owners as apparently no two are the same and there is no electrical diagram I was told.

Yes, there is quite abit of redundant wiring, not sure if it will be worth re-wiring or leaving as it is. I'll have a good look on the weekend and trace a few wires. I think I'll just tidy up a few loose ends for now. I'll also check the headlight relay situation.

You need to come down and have a look through the treasure trove here. There are 3 x 20 ft containers full of parts, manuals, complete wiring harnesses etc. Almost finished moving it all in! About another solid week of sorting and the parts side will all be done and then I'm into the jigs and moulds.

What I will do tonight though is have a look at the service manuals I hold to see if there are some better wiring diagrams in them. If there is I'll see about getting a few runs done at the printers.

Yep for sure I’ll come down for a visit, I’ll be needing a few things soon. Just waiting on the engine etc, to see what funds I’ve got left to play with. In the meantime I’m just slowly dismantling and prepping the cab. Gone a lot further with it than I originally intended, but she’ll be Mickey Mouse when done.

I watched your latest video today. Whilst it might seem like you are going further, you really aren't creating all that much more work for yourself. It is often cheaper and quicker to do it all once and do it right. Keep it going mate, I'm sorely missing working on mine, hopefully all this parts stuff is sorted really soon and I'll be back into it.

I have the original OKA genuine service manuals that leave the electronic versions that are floating around for dead as far as more info including wiring diagrams. These are not something that I will be making availavle electronicly due to copyright reasons. I am however able to reproduce them in hard copy if there is enough interest.
