Forum Management

Can anyone tell me if anyone is currently taking responsibility for managing this forum or if it is simply existing without any management?

If I am correct 'Mort' had this role, but my search on the forum appears to suggest that it is several years since he last posted.

The Where are they Now, thread is woefully out of date (by a number of years in some instances)

So this leaves me wondering 'How' is the forum existing still ....... presumably the fees for web hosting & domain name are still being paid by somebody or we wouldn't be reading this.

So......... does anyone here know who (& how) is keeping the forum alive (just)?

Thanks Cuppa, I would love to see this forum becoming active again. I do not like 'social media' - I like a forum that is there to help the vehicles rather than to help people socialise.
In years past, I, and many, many, others have benefited hugely from this forum as a technical resource - there was always good natured banter as well, but it was primarily a technical forum. I for one would be very happy to contribute financially if this would get the forum back into action.

Thanks Paul, yes I too would be prepared to make a contribution if it would help to get a regular admin overseeing the forum…… but is there anyone able to take on or resume that role, & if so how/where might we send our contribution.

The fact that the forum remains here must mean someone is already paying for it to be hosted, it is the existence/need for an admin which is less clear. I’m afraid I am not volunteering for that role, but my perception is that someone probably needs to. However whether that is possible/acceptable is an unknown, given the lack of clarity regarding ownership of the forum.

Likewise Cuppa, I don't have the knowledge to take on that role. There are professional bodies that can do such things, but I have no idea where or how to find out where.......
I live in hope that somewhere, somehow, this forum gets back to what it was!

Put me down for a financial contribution to keep this forum going if that is what is needed. I have drawn lots of great info from here over the last few months and I prefer a forum to the Facebook pages. I find the Facebook pages (with exception of the owners page) does attract a lot of silly comments on legitimate questions.

Sadly I don't have the skill sets to take over such a role myself either.
