Hi everyone,
I worked at OKA Motor Company from 1992 to 1996 as a Mechanical Draftsperson in the Bibra Lake Factory. Any other former employees on here?
Started work there during the pre-production phase and was made redundant in 1996 after the sale to 'Forward Engineers' fell through.
Great to see there is still lots of interest in the vehicle, they certainly are rugged vehicles.

Welcome Christo, and thanks for being part of the reason we all have these great vehicles.
It is tragic what happened to the company - a little bit of imagination and forward thinking from our various governments could have seen the Oka being a world leader in this type of vehicle. There was a time when 90% of the worlds armed forces used Land Rovers - the Oka could easily have been like that.
