That is our OKA 124 Joe, and the photo was taken at the Qantas museum about 27th July 2010 after rain cancelled a planned trip on the Maddigan line. The OKA is still for sale on the Vehicles for sale section. It no longer has the roof rack on it but it is available. You are correct about the motorhome being built in Freemantle by George Chesters, a professional boat builder.
We are reducing the price to $68000.
Cheers Fran

Boofhead's 268 was in Geraldton last week, getting a bit of work done. Didn't catch up with him but he hasn't sold it according to the mechanic. Still has the Perkins in it.

Hello all, I met Jim Dean today refuelling at a servo in Charters Towers. He was driving 008.I did not have a camera with me so no photos. 008 is a dual cab with a tray carrying a slid on camper and it is plated as a 1994 model.Jim told me it was #8 off the line but Oka kept it at the factory testing this and doing that etc. and was only put on the road in 94 hence the late plating. Jim has not changed anything on the vehicle but it had a LT grill but not built out like a proper LT,maybe a passing thought at the time.Jim knows about the site but is not a member. Chris.

Spotted this Oka leaving Broome this morning as we drove in.

Crappy pics from my Crashcam video recorder but maybe the trailer will provide a clue?
