Spotted an Oka

I'm sure it will be fine, but is that usual to need to re-drill the bellhousing bolt hole locations when installing an allison or was it just an 'adaptation' for that one?

Looks like they do an awesome job stripping it all. Do they replace all rubbers and wear items in general?

Alister,nothing was re drilled,that is a brand new Allison and you can get it with a bell housing that accommodates SAE and Duramax its only in three areas were three additional holes are close together,all wear items are replaced including rubbers and mountings the only item fitted as good used is the Cummins and that may change in the future it is really a different approach from the original assembly.

Ewart , the blue is the standard colour the light grey was a special request with a extremely hard zinc phosphate epoxy primer and a very hard Polyester polyurethane

Was doing a search for what the NT transfer case was and noticed the 6x6 in the middle of the above pic. Was this just a one off build? What transfer case did they use? Good setup being load sharing, what were the gvm/gcm?

While i'm here, looked like the NT used an 'OKA HD250' transfer case, was this a cobbled up thing like the diffs or a re-branded unit?

There is 2 6 x 6 1 is being done by Brett and the 1 in the photo done by Dean, both are done differently.
The one in the photo is 6BT with roadranger auto dont know the transfer with NT diffs load is I think Dean said 11T.
Its been sitting for some time, dont know the reason for hold up in completion
The NT use the BAE transfer it looks a lot like the rockwell but heavier.

Alister,The 6x6 at OKA is being done with a fully reconditioned 6BT Cummins a 13 speed Manual Road Ranger transmission the transfer case and diffs are from BAE similar to the NT but a lot of upgrades been done to the diffs to iron out the little hickups,the work is a lot more advanced than appears in the photo,the articulation over the rear end is got to be seen to believe it

QLD with a "406" was spotted by a work mate this afternoon.

Has anyone spotted this OKA in Vic or SA this week? Not a forum member, but a Townsville rig going around Australia.
